Evaluation System
Teachers make formal assessments of the students' progress three times a year in September, January and May. These are done through internationally recognised testing methods. We share our learning intentions and success criteria with the children so they understand what they are learning, why they are learning it and how to be successful learners. In addition, student knowledge, understanding and skills are assessed throughout the year through written assessments and further informal, continuous assessment is made by the teachers through a wide range of assessment tools.
However, we run externally moderated examinations as per the National Agenda and IB Curriculum.
You will receive reports on your child's progress twice in the in the academic year. Parent / Teachers Conferences which are also held twice a year provide additional information relating to your child's progress and give parents the opportunity to meet all of the relevant teachers.
