Primary School Introduction
Welcome to EIS Meadows Primary School.
At EIS Meadows our students are at the heart of everything we do. From the moment our Early learners walk through the door, to the Year 6 Exhibition, our students are provided with a happy and safe environment in which to thrive. We embrace our local and global community to ensure our students leave the Primary phase with a real understanding of their place in the world and how they can shape their future.
Across the IB Primary Years Programme we embrace the IB philosophy encouraging children not just to learn, but to also understand how they learn. Within the traditional subject boundaries we incorporate many transdisciplinary skills. We place a real emphasis on the IB Learner Profile, encouraging students to be open minded, to take risks, to be thinkers and to reflect on their learning process. We encourage dialogue with others to further enhance their understanding and widen their knowledge of the world.
We take great pride in the achievements of our students, as do they themselves. We offer strong pastoral care alongside our academic rigour to ensure all our students are supported and encouraged in all aspects of their life. As a truly international school we embrace the different cultures, beliefs and traditions and celebrate together the many wonderful achievements of our students both in and out of school. It is our aim bring the talents of our students to life, whether they be academic, artistic, sporting or expressive.
I am very proud to lead our Primary Team and to see our younger students grow into well rounded, confident learners as they continue their educational journey.
Kind Regards,
Mr Tim Wade
