EIS MEADOWS SPORTS
At Emirates International School Meadows, we believe that sports plays an integral role in fostering teamwork, resilience, and personal growth among our students. Our participation in the DASSA Competitions allows students to challenge themselves, represent the school, and develop valuable life skills both on and off the field.
Team selection is an inclusive and thoughtful process that focuses on encouraging students to bring their best efforts forward. During trials, we look for qualities such as teamwork, discipline, and a positive attitude, in addition to physical and technical skills. These traits are key to building cohesive and supportive teams.
Beyond competition, being part of a team at EIS Meadows encourages students to develop leadership skills in alignment with the values of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Collaboration, responsibility, and personal accountability are emphasised, helping students grow into well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges.
Our facilities are utilised to their fullest potential to provide a positive environment for sports and physical education. These include:
- A 25m indoor swimming pool.
- Multi-purpose indoor sports spaces.
- Gym with cardio and strength training machines.
- Outdoor courts suitable for various sports activities.
- A 4G field for various sports.
At EIS Meadows, our focus is on helping students achieve their personal best, whether through competitive sports or recreational activities. By fostering a love for physical activity and teamwork, we aim to instill values that will benefit students throughout their lives.
EPORTFOLIO AND SPORT, EXERCISE, AND HEALTH SCIENCE FOR THE DIPLOMA PROGRAM
EIS Meadows also offers students opportunities to excel academically through programs like the Eportfolio and Sport, Exercise, and Health Science for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. These programs allow students to explore the scientific principles behind physical activity and health while developing a comprehensive portfolio that showcases their learning and achievements.
The Sport, Exercise, and Health Science course combines theoretical study with practical applications, covering topics such as anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and nutrition. This dynamic program is ideal for students passionate about understanding the science of sports and physical health, preparing them for future studies or careers in related fields. Through this program, students gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of health and fitness in everyday life, fostering skills that extend beyond the classroom.
Our focus on holistic education ensures that students are not only academically prepared but also equipped with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to succeed in higher education and beyond.
